DAS - a Deezer to Last.fm compatibility bridge

If, like me, you used Last.fm quite often to… well basically know what you listen and discover other things to listen but you are know more using streaming platforms like Deezer.com than regular music players, you may regret that there is still no compatibility between theses.
Then if you want an up-to-date Last.fm profile while using Deezer I may have something for you.
Last year I started to write a Firefox plugin as a gateway from Deezer to Last.fm, it was functional, but had no UI and I never finished it. I picked up the code again a month ago, re-wrote 80% of the code, implemented a minimal UI… and then we are !
The DAS (for Deezer Audio Scrobbler, I’ll try to find something better if needed) extension has been released in the sandbox of Mozilla addons platform (AMO) for more than a month now. I planned to publish this news with the public released, but as it doesn’t come (I’ve been told that something as only 20 people where working on the addons review on AMO) and that the extensions is being used by more than 130 people every day, here it is !
The best way of installing the extension is using the page on AMO. Screenshots and infos on the home page.
Planned things for v0.2:
- fix UTF-8 encoding bug;
- check compatibility with firefox-3.5 (should not be any problem);
- dynamic load/unload at the entrance/exit of a streaming website.

DAS is currently available in French and English, there is very few text then adding a new language is very easy, just pick and translate this file. DAS is released under MPL/GPL/LGPL licence, sources are available here.

Salut, une petite mise à jour pour que l'extension soit compatible avec Firefox 3.5 et Deezer V3 serait possible?
Bon, je n'ai pas eu l'occasion de tester cette extension étant donné que je l'ai découverte après être passé à Firefox 3.5, mais... Je veux te remercier mille fois pour l'avoir créée !
Je pense que pas mal de gens seront heureux d'avoir une telle extension, et si trouves le temps de l'adapter à FF3.5 et à Deezer v3... Tu feras des heureux (en tout cas, au moins un trèèèèèèèèèèèèèès heureux).
J'ai installé l'add-on, mais pas moyen de scrobbler entre deezer et last.fm.
De plus, je ne peux pas cliquer sur "Option" pour cet add-on, donc pas moyen d'entrer mes identifiants last.fm pour cet add-on.
Donc avec la version 3 de Deezer, le plugin ne marche pas ? Arf, y'a pas moyen de remédier à ce problème ? Cette extension a un potentiel énorme, dommage qu'elle ne marche pas pour l'instant.
You need to upgrade Firefox, too, to put DAS 0.2.2 to work. With Firefox 3.0 DAS 0.2.2 doesn't work. But once upgraded to Firefox 3.5 the link between the Deezer streaming and song display in one's Last FM library is immediately there again. Brilliant. Thanks Gliss!

Très bonne idée, mais ca ne marche pas pour l'instant. Même si les titres, la croche et le truc vert sont tous à l'écran au-dessous, ca ne "scrobble" pas de tout. Et c'est avec Firefox 3.5.2...
Après avoir regardé le problème avec wapush, il apparaît que Last.fm n'accepte pas la connexion de plus d'un client à la fois. Ainsi, si vous ouvrez Firefox avec DAS, puis utilisez une autre extension en relation avec Last.fm (Fire.fm dans ce cas là), DAS sera déconnecté (idem avec iTunes et tout soft communiquant avec le site).
La plupart des modules pour Audioscrobbler (le moteur de Last.fm) semblent se reconnecter dès qu'ils reçoivent une erreur, si vous utilisez deux softs en même temps ca fait donc une partie de ping-pong de connexions (je me connecte-je te déconnecte-je me connecte-je te déconnecte). J'essaierai de faire de même dans la prochaine MAJ si ça marche.
